Integrated Pest Management
Integrated pest management is a strategy that combines sanitation and cultural, biological and mechanical controls to reduce pest populations. Examples include using pest-resistant plants, maintaining landscapes and spraying. Integrated pest management decides the best course of action for pest control while reducing the environmental and economic impacts.
The college will provide 24-hour notice of planned pesticide applications. The notice will remain in effect for 72 hours post-application, except in cases of emergency.
Upcoming Pesticide Applications
July 20-August 20 Pesticide Application (Harmony/Wilsonville)
On Tuesday, July 20 to Friday, August 20 from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., staff will be applying Ranger Pro EPA No. 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in bed areas of the Harmony and Wilsonville campuses. Specific dates will be noted on campus postings. Re-entry after application has dried.
July 23-August 23 Pesticide Application (Oregon City)
On Friday, July 23 to Monday, August 23 from 6 a.m.-2 p.m., staff will be applying Ranger Pro EPA No. 524-517 to control weeds and grasses in bed areas of the Oregon City campus. Specific dates will be noted on campus postings. Re-entry after application has dried.
