Continuous Quality Improvement

Clackamas Community College uses these key processes to support continuous quality improvement:

  • Academic and Service-Area Assessment: Processes that we use to measure the effectiveness of our efforts in relationship to specific goals and aspirations (e.g. student learning outcomes, service-area metrics).
  • Unit Planning: The process that asks employees to use the results of assessment efforts to plan for the future. These plans, in turn, inform the goals and aspirations that are named in subsequent cycles of the assessment process.

The College's unit planning process also includes links to the College's budget development process. In this way, the College works to support integration of assessment, planning, and budget development; we research what works, we use that understanding to inform plans for focused action, and seek to align resources with those plans and priorities.

In the coming terms, we'll be expanding on the content included on this page, to include calendars, templates, and helpful reference points related to assessment and unit planning. In the meantime, please feel free to reach out to any of the contacts below with thoughts or questions.
