Credit for Prior Learning

Select the appropriate link from the list below. The links are organized by division. If your department or a grant is covering the fee for the student, be sure to select the grant funded link.

On the URL landing page have the student fill in their name and email address. Then enter your information and your department chair. Your dean, Course Scheduling and Registration and Records are already in the workflow.

If your department or a grant is covering the fee, there will be a place for you to enter the contact information for the Grant Liaison. This person will submit the Journal Entry to the Business Office to process the fee payment. This person might be you, an administrative assistant or a grant coordinator.

After submitting everyone’s information, you will be directed to the CPL form. The student will complete the first section and submit it.

You, the instructor, is the next person in the workflow. You will receive an email from DocuSign notifying you that there is a document to sign. Complete your section and submit it. From there each person in the workflow will receive a notification email and a request to sign their section.

Once the workflow reaches Registration and Records, their office will confirm the student's eligibility and calculate the cost. If the student is paying the fee, their office will contact the student with the total and instructions for payment. Once the payment is received, Registration and Records will continue the workflow. The credit won't be applied to the student's record until the fee is paid. This includes grant and department funded CPL.
